Developing a better relationship with our bodies, the vessel that holds the soul, begins with developing healthy eating and physical habits, and making peace with things we cannot easily change. Losing weight is only a part of the solution, for lasting, healthy change.
Everyone has habits that they'd like to break free from. Why do we do these things, which we know make us unhappy about ourselves? There are endless unhealthy habits, from nail biting to social media addiction, to issues surrounding alcohol and substance abuse. Never live with any bad habit, no matter how seemingly insignificant.
Fear of public speaking? Concern about an upcoming sporting competition? Unable to be more assertive at work, or in relationships? When you are feeling "less-than" others, your self-esteem blockage will affect your performance. Rewire your mind with the truth about you - that you are just as good, and just as deserving, as others.
It's no secret that smoking is extremely bad for your health. You already know that. You've probably tried to quit before, and it just isn't sticking. Sure, it's a chemical dependency. But there's for sure an emotional reason you reach for that cigarette, knowing the consequences. Get at the root of that, and you will increase your likelihood of kicking the habit once and for all
Pain can ruin your life. It affects your mobility, your mood, the very ownership over your life. Hypnosis has been found to be tremendously effective in helping individuals have greater control over pain, and its impact in one's daily routine. Any diagnosed medical issues must be accompanied by a medical provider's written permission to use hypnosis as a treatment adjunct.
You attended every class. You took notes, and did all the assignments. And yes, you sit in front of that exam, and go blank. It is such a deflating experience, and can ruin your grades, or even cost you a job or a promotion. Information retention and retrieval all happen in the mind. Calm your mind, and see the mental clarity that will follow. Parental approval needed for minors
It seems like we are being squeezed in all directions. The ensuing stress takes a tremendous toll on our physical and emotional well-being, and impacting every facet of our lives. Stressful events are unavoidable; but our minds have a tremendous ability to mitigate how we perceive their impacts. Hypnosis helps you see events for what they are, and how best to deal with them, staying calm and healthy.
Fears and phobias often don't make any rational sense (fear of insects or animals that can't hurt us; fear of flying, even though it's the safest form of travel, etc.) The list is endless. Some may seem trivial; while others are quite obviously debilitating. But all are limiting beliefs that impact our lives in ways large and small. But our goal is to live a life without limits - and certainly without limiting beliefs over which we have total control.
Addiction destroys the life of the addict, but it can also impact all the relationships in the addict's life. It can impact work, social relations, family, and general daily life functions. If you're struggling with addiction, you already know this.
We all have had traumatic moments in our lives. But some leave a lasting impression on our psyches, and can impact our lives in ways in which we sometimes barely see the connections.
Our inner resources and influences go far beyond those informed by this lifetime. We are connected to infinite knowledge, which is continuous, though every lifetime. How can the past inform your present?
Anywhere you feel as though there is a mental "block" from helping you experience your best life, hypnosis may be a helpful resource for you. I am happy to discuss with you your goals, and if I think hypnosis might be a good resource.

Hypnosis is a completely natural state of mind. The relaxed mental state (Alpha brain wave frequency) reduces "selective thinking," and facilitates communication with the subconscious mind. If there is an emotionalized desire for change on the part of the participant, the subconscious mind can more readily be receptive to positive healing ideas and suggestions.
Hypnosis is very relaxing. Your brain wave activity, as measured in scientific studies, is in the Alpha state, which is the same as that mental state right before you fall asleep. It is very similar to meditation. You are NOT unconscious. You are fully cognizant of what is happening, and will be able to recall the entire process when it is over. At no point are you not "in control," and you cannot be made to do or think anything you do not wish. Successful hypnosis requires the complete buy-in and cooperation of you. This is not the stage act you have probably seen on television. You can return to your normal activities following a session.
Yes! Hypnosis is a trance state, which everyone experiences all the time. Think about those times you've stared into space, or lost all track of time during a task. Those are trance states. If you can do that, you can be hypnotized. BUT- hypnosis requires the full and complete cooperation of the participant. You must want to do it, first and foremost. And, while a healthy dose of skepticism is fine, rejecting the idea of hypnosis completely without an open mind will likely lead to satisfying the inner skeptic, but not the paying client.
As a general guideline, most participants reach their goals in 3, 6, or 8 sessions, depending upon the issue needing resolution, as well as the active participation of the client - and that sometimes includes doing sessions of self-hypnosis (which you would be taught), or other "homework." The more engaged you are with the process, the faster the process will be. It is rare that change is achieve through hypnosis after only one session.
At this time, there are no in-office sessions. Most sessions are done via Zoom, which is an effective and convenient way to receive hypnosis services. Sessions may be conducted in your home, in some circumstances, for a nominal additional fee. In-office sessions will resume soon. In the meantime, enjoy the reduced rates, as there is no office rent for me to pay :)
All new clients are required to participate in a 30 minute consultation, free of charge. There is an intake form, which must be completed prior to that consultation. On the day of your hypnosis sessions, I ask that you please be sure that you are in a quiet space, free from interruptions. Separate yourself from any pets who may want your attention at any given moment. Turn off any unnecessary electronic devices. Ideally, you would have noise-cancelling headphones, if participating online, as well as a good internet connection. Find a comfortable spot in your home, and be sure your neck is supported by a pillow, or the back of your seat. Please refrain from caffeine for at least a few hours prior to your session, depending upon how your body metabolizes caffeinated drinks. Try to use the restroom prior to your session. And please - do NOT attend any sessions under the influence of alcohol, sedatives, marijuana, or other drugs not prescribed by your healthcare provider. You will likely compromise your session, and end up wasting your time and money.
Please try to pick session dates and times you feel confident will work for you. All sessions are pre-paid before the appointment is finalized. However, things come up in our lives. 24 hours notice is required for a full refund, as it is unlikely your appointment can be filled by someone else with less notice. For less than 24 hours, a 50% refund will be granted.
